I was so bored at the office that i spent whole afternoon with my officemates’ daughter. usually i spend time with her from 4-5 in the afternoon after her class. we do drawings, we play barbie and bratz online or eat junkees. But that day, she only had a half-day- class so we did a lot of drawing and internet sessions. One of the activities we had that day was the review session. We had a “question-and-answer” of the lessons they take up at school. Actually she was the one who questioned me and I was the one who answered. We took up symbols of talmpas, bulubundukin, bukid, borol and blah blah… and i did answer them. My memory wasn’t that bad about my Grade 2 lessons. We had math, and of course simple addition and subtraction review. But God! when we tackled COMPUTER, when little girl asked me WHAT ARE THE ELEMENTS OF COMPUTER? WHAT ARE THE ELEMENTS OF SOFTWARE? HARDWARE? PEOPLEWARE? DATA? i was like “pardon?”, “give me a clue”, “i duno!”… My God my Computer Fundamentals teacher gonna kill me! I’ve been using computer and i forgot its elements. Little girl was like “Ate hindi mo alam?” “Ano ka man ate uy!” “Madali lang kaya! It was like a slap in my face. I was embarassed and ashamed and i’m guilty.Well, Im an IT graduate and suffering from memory loss.
